Abstract

Ge-Suk Yeo is a singer, electro-acoustic musician, Composer, visual and video artist. Ge-Suk Yeo is a classical trained Soprano and learned at the Seoul National University and the Hochschule der Künste HdK Berlin. In her recent audiovisual performances Ge-Suk Yeo uses computer and sampler for electro-acoustic sounds as well as video projection. The Computer got an important tool in her everyday work. This lecture illustrates her shift from being a pure singer towards a multimedia artist. It describes some of her recent projects and relativizes the relation of artistic expression and technique.
