Audiovisual performance (Sonolight)
audio-visual performance by Ge-Suk Yeo
Duration: 10:00 - 60:00 min
Pulse
Dancing under the electronic moon.
Sonolight
It is night. Light shines through a window and is reflected in a room. The piece interprets this surrealistic lightshow musically and visually.
Sonolight
Fishmoon
A poetic view at the moon, from the perspective of fish underwater.
Fish Moon - live
Fish Moon - the video
Deng-grang
A crystal ball jumps on the floor - in an empty fish bowl: back and forth.
Blue fish
A radio - a robot dog. On the radio someone tells a story about a blue fish who dreams of a visit on land... - a surreal lullaby.
Silence
Someone talks about music. At the beginning and end of a piece of music is silence: "Is the silence the opposite of sounding music or sound itself?" - "Or is it even part of the music?" Anyways - the music continues.
Sweet bird
A radio, birds and a humna beeing. Whoever hears what and how? The piece plays with the exchange and the simultaneity of perspectives.
The electro-acoustic music is on radio sounds, accordion and soprano voice.
The text in the video is taken from the aria 'Sweet Bird' part of the opera 'Il Pensieroso' by Georg Friedrich Handel.
Sweet Bird
Libretto Sweet Bird aus Il Penseroso (für Sopran-Stimme):
Sweet bird, that shun'st the noise of folly,
Most musical, most melancholy!
Thee, chauntress, oft the woods among,
I woo to hear thy even-song.
Or, missing thee, I walk unseen,
On the dry smooth-shaven green,
To behold the wand'ring moon
Riding near her highest noon.
Sweet bird. . .
Telefone dog
Humorous view of a dialogue between a dog and the voice of a telephone handset.
Pulse 2
