Durration: Approx. 22:00 min

Klang Drang (Sound Thirst) is an animated sound calligraphy for an audio-visual performance for up to 11 musicians. It can be presented solely as sound/video-installation, if this is feesable.

The video animation presents numerous sound pictogrammes. Each stands for a sound and drops in and out randomly. It can be freely interpreted by the musicians. The individual emotion as well as the limits of the instrument may influence the respective sound. The musicians should develope a 'tonal' pictrogramme. As long as a pictogramme is visible on screen, it can be played.

The electroacoustic music starts without any musican on stage. The musicians show up one after another. The electroacoustic sounds are connected to the rhythm of the pictrogrammes. The musicians with their instruments should find an access to the electroacoustic music, the pictogrammes and the sound of the other musicians.

The whole should develop a humorous athmosphere, nothing destructive. Poliphonic!

The musicians should be straggling around the stage. They can change their seat and position whenever they like.
