Abstract

Ge-Suk Yeo is a singer, electroacoustic musician, Composer, visual and video artist. Introduction: What does Ge-Suk Yeo mean by audiovisual performance? Basic elements of an audiovisual performance:

Abstract

Ge-Suk Yeo is a singer, electroacoustic musician, Composer, visual and video artist. Ge-Suk Yeo is a classical trained Soprano and learned at the Seoul National University and the Hochschule der Künste HdK Berlin. In her recent audiovisual performances Ge-Suk Yeo uses computer and sampler for electroacoustic music as well as video projection. The Computer got an important tool in her everyday work. This lecture illustrates her shift from being a pure singer towards a multimedia artist. It describes some of her recent projects and relativizes the relation of artistic expression and technique.
