Ge-Suk Yeo's composition Klang Drang' (Sound Thirst) - an animated sound calligraphy for an audio-visual performance for up to 11 musicians - got live performed at the 6th Sound and Music Computing Conference, July 2009 at the Casa da Música in Porto, Portugal.
Part of the performance had been Evan Parker (Saxophone), António Augusto de Aguiar (Double Bass), Nuno Aroso (Percussion), Jonathan Ayerst (Piano), Victor Pereira (Clarinet), Franziska Schroeder (Saxophone), Stephanie Wagner (Flute) and Ge-Suk Yeo (Vocals, Electro-Acoustic, Video). as well as in July 2008.
Steim is a center for research & development of instruments & tools for performers in the
electronic performance arts based in Amsterdam. Featured Project: Time SculpturesTime Sculptures, eine Audiovisuelle Performance von Ge-Suk YeoTime Sculptures basiert auf einer Serie elektroakustischer Kompositionen. Time Sculptures handelt grundsätzlich vom Phänomen der Zeit, die wir alle in unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten wahr nehmen. Dies wird durch verschiedene Rhythmen ausgedrückt, die zeitgleich spielen und sich überlagern. Die Rhythmen werden durch andere Klangebenen ergänzt - unterschiedlich im Charakter in jeder der Time Sculpture Episoden. - Die sich langsam bewegenden Bilder zeichnen einfaches weißes Licht auf schwarzen Hintergrund. Grundlage sind Klang-Kalligraphien, mit sehr einfachen Linien, Punkten und einem Fokus auf den leeren Raum dazwischen. Die Videoanimation ist Teil von Ge-Suk Yeo's live Performance.
